I am from

I am from a square

Square homes, and square lives

Each trying to be unique

But settling for the norm

I am from cracked sidewalks

And street lamps

From empty bank accounts

And rental homes

But my heart is from sagebrush

And gravel roads lined with trees

Starry skys and fresh air

My soul can finally breath

This is were I long to be

But it is not so

A country girl in a suburban world

Is were I have to be
